About me

I’m Lesley – an experienced board-level director, accredited coach and mentor, and management consultant with a passion for strategic healthcare improvement, team-based working, and compassionate leadership.
With over 27 years of experience in mental health across England and Wales, I bring a broad and deep understanding of the sector, from frontline services to national policy. My background spans mental health management, regulation, quality improvement, and commissioning at national, regional, and local levels. One of my key strengths lies in working with teams undergoing change – helping them to build resilience, foster a strong culture, and achieve meaningful, lasting improvement.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to improving the lives of those both delivering and accessing services. I believe in working in true partnership with individuals and communities, drawing on asset-based approaches to leadership rooted in co-production, community development, and citizenship.
I care deeply about nurturing brave, compassionate leaders and supporting others to grow and thrive. Whether it's through coaching, mentoring, or consultancy, I’m driven by the belief that great leadership, grounded in clinical governance and a clear understanding of risk, can transform services and the experiences of those who use them.
Above all, I’m here to help people and teams flourish — to turn challenges into opportunities, and to create environments where trust, courage, and respect pave the way for change.
